People use the names interchangeably. They're two different things, and which one suits your party depends on your space and your kids.
Slip-n-slides: the run-and-dive
A slip-n-slide is flat. Kids take a run-up, dive on, and slide the length of it to the end. No climbing, no height β the fun is speed along the ground. Great for long lawns and for kids who love a sprint. Browse our slip-n-slides on the catalogue.
Water slides: the climb-and-slide
A water slide is elevated β you climb steps or a net to the top, then slide down the slope, usually into a splash zone at the bottom. The thrill is the height and the drop. Also on the catalogue, with dimensions on every product page.
What you need for either
Water: you connect a garden hose β most people use their own, and hosepipes are available for hire if you don't have one that reaches. Continuous water flow makes both units faster and more fun, but it's your call β some hirers fill the landing pond and switch the water off. Surface: wet units go on grass. We don't set up water units on any surface that turns slippery when wet β paving and concrete around a wet unit are a hazard, and that's a line we don't cross. Ages: any age enjoys both β and like all our inflatables, adults are welcome too.
Which one for your party?
Long narrow lawn, sporty kids β slip-n-slide. Squarer space, mixed ages, maximum shrieking β elevated water slide. Genuinely torn? WhatsApp us your lawn dimensions and the ages β we'll tell you which we'd pick.
